Adobe Photoshop CC
Photoshop is an editing software produced by Adobe, that's avaliable for a subscription. It can be used both for editing photographs, and for creating new graphics. As it is subscription based, it's updated regularly and new features are produced by Abobe.
GIMP is a free editing software, that is used for editing photographs, and for creating new graphics. It is an open forum program, meaning that features and changes are created by the program's community or yourself. The source codes can be changed and then distributed.

For a business, I would recommend using Photoshop over GIMP. Photoshop has more features, and has support avaliable if you are struggling with the program. GIMP doesn't offer any sort of support, and is a community based program instead.
